Favicon stands for Favorites icon which is a shortcut or URL icon displayed at the URL bar of browser and in the tabs. By default the blogger templates comes with the blogger favicon which can be changed as per our blog details.
Here I post the simplest way to change the Favicon for your blog.
1.create an image say 100 x 100px which depicts the image you want as
Favicon.
2.I simply created using Adobe photoshop.
a. open photoshop > file > new > image > 100 x 100
b. Fill background with custom color and add Short Text say
a Character or two.
c. you should get something like below image
3. Open Site DynamicDrive and upload the image as png,jpeg,bmp
or gif format and this site will generate the favicon for you.
4.Upload the favicon for any of the site say google pages
and note the link.
5.Install in blogger template
a. Login to blogger account
b. Layout > Edit Html > search for tag
c. Add the following lines between head tags

6.Now the blogger favicon will be replaed with your custom favicon
